AJ eBiochip GmbH was founded in 2000 as eBiochip Systems GmbH, a spin-off of the Fraunhofer Institute for Silicon Technology, and became a member of the Analytik Jena Group in 2007. AJ eBiochip develops, produces and sells miniaturised analytic systems for pathogens, nucleic acids
and proteins. The proprietary technology combines electrical microarrays and microfludics for sample preparation and PCR.
